One weekend is not enough...

As I'm sure you'll all agree, one weekend is not enough to switch from one mode of thinking to another completely different, as we often have had to do this year between pracs. While trying to tie up loose ends at one prac, giving student presentations, completing final assessments and updating stats, it proves almost impossible to find time to prepare for the prac starting the following Monday. Even being given a three day weekend and finishing the previous prac on a Thursday would help somewhat, do you guys think it's worth putting this to the school of Physio? I think it would greatly help with being prepared for the next practical...

i think that is a great idea dani, do u think the school would be up for it? i even think 3 days prep is a pretty big ask especially if its a core prac!! i think its even worth putting an idea forward of a week off in between each prac, we would just need to start 2 or 3 weeks earlier than we did this year, not sure how that works with timetabling and uni requirements and stuff but it would make life a lot less stressful for us!

I agree!! A day would be good, but a week even better! I think it's definitely something the uni should consider...or what about the five week pracs in first sem, if they were shortened by one week, we could have a week to prepare for the next one instead.

I think preparation time makes such a difference, especially for those of us doing honours, as most of our time outside of prac was spent working on honours, much to the detriment of prac prep! Which in turn makes prac so much more stressful!
